Something I’ve noticed as a single male

So recently I’ve had situations where I messaged a couple that state there looking for a single guy and never got a reply….. no big deal this happens people are not obligated to respond no matter how nicely or thoughtful your message is.

A month or two later I’m online at night and I get a message from one these couples“ hi how are you etc” I’m on SLS and I always make a note after reaching out to a couple so I’ll know not to message them again if we spoke and they were not interested or if I didn’t get a response. These are people that never responded….. maybe they had tons of messages and just now got to mine or whatever, so we start chatting and almost immediately they ask if I’m free to meet for drinks tonight.

I respond that I’m not (I actually do have a life outside of swinging) it’s kinda last minute 9:30pm to be exact and in my situation I need a little notice since I have a child. This seems to offend them as “she was really looking forward to meeting you” “why did you message us if you’re not able to meet?” even though I offer to make a date for another time.

Finally they say let try another time but then block me or never respond to another message.

I’ve had something along those lines happen a few times and I wonder if it’s because as a single guy I’m supposed to be at their beck and call? I understand most single guys are seen as a dime a dozen but aren’t we people too?

Just curious about peoples thoughts on the matter
